Ayanda Borotho is a South African actress, author, entrepreneur, and activist. She was born on January 13, 1981 in Durban, South Africa.
Borotho gained fame for her portrayal of the lead character in the SABC 1 sitcom Nomzamo from 2007 to 2010. She also took over the roles of Zinzile Zungu and Phumelele Zungu in the telenovela Isibaya on Mzansi Magic. Additionally, she has been nominated for a MIPAD Award.
Before pursuing acting full-time, Borotho received formal training in speech and drama at Brettonwood High School in Umbilo, Durban. Her acting career commenced with her role as Thami in the SABC 1 soap opera Generations back in 1999.
Borotho is known not only for her acting talent but also for her entrepreneurial endeavors and activism work. On social media platform Instagram, she boasts a following of over 900,000 fans and supporters under her ayandaborotho account.
