About Ashton Locklear
Ashton Locklear was born on January 13, 1998 in Lumberton, North Carolina. She is a renowned gymnast who gained recognition for her victory at the 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships as part of the American team. Ashton also achieved individual success in the uneven bars events at both the 2014 Pan American and U.S. National Gymnastics Championships.
Locklear’s impressive journey in gymnastics began when she won a statewide tournament at just five years old. In addition to her athletic pursuits, she accepted a recruitment offer from the NCAA gymnastics team at the University of Florida.
Coming from a family with Lumbee Tribe heritage, Ashton grew up alongside her sister Angelia in Lumberton, North Carolina. Her parents are Terry and Carrie Locklear.
