Anya Ayoung-Chee is a fashion designer who was born on October 17, 1981, in New York City, New York. She is best known for winning both Miss Trinidad and Tobago Universe 2008 and the 9th season of Project Runway.
Before her rise to fame, Ayoung-Chee moved to Trinidad at the age of two and holds dual citizenship in both the United States and Trinidad. Despite only learning how to sew a few months before competing on Project Runway, she emerged as the winner of the reality show.
Ayoung-Chee grew up with seven brothers and has made significant strides in the fashion industry following her television successes.
