About Anna Quindlen
Anna Quindlen is a non-fiction author and opinion columnist best known for her work at the New York Times, where she received the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1992. Born on July 8, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Quindlen started her career in journalism with the New York Post before transitioning to full-time fiction writing in the mid-1990s.
Quindlen’s published works of non-fiction include “How Reading Changed My Life” (1998) and “A Short Guide to a Happy Life” (2000). She also authored novels such as “One True Thing” (1994) and “Blessings” (2002), with her novel “Black and Blue” later being adapted into a television miniseries.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Quindlen was born into a family of mixed Italian and Irish descent. In her personal life, she married Gerald Krovatin and together they have three children.
