About Ann Turner Cook
Ann Turner Cook, born on November 20, 1926 in New York, is a novelist best known as the original model for the iconic Gerber Baby logo. In addition to her contribution to advertising history, she had a successful career as a writer, most notably authoring the Brandy O’Bannon series of mystery novels including “Shadow Over Cedar Key” and “Trace Their Shadows.” After graduating from the University of South Florida, Cook taught at various schools before becoming an English teacher at Hillsborough High School in Tampa. Notably, she was a contestant on the game show To Tell The Truth in the early 1990s. Her father Leslie Turner was famous for creating the Captain Easy comic strip.
