Angela Thorne is an English actress known for her role as Marjory Frobisher in the television series To the Manor Born. She was born on January 25, 1939, in Karachi, Pakistan and has had a long career with over 60 acting roles. In 2021, she played Mrs. Garvie on the TV series Silent Hours.
Thorne spent her early years in India before moving to England at the age of five. She later trained in acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Notably, she provided the voice for Elizabeth II in a film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s book The BFG in 1989 and performed in the musical Oh! What a Lovely War released in 1969.
