About Angela Bloomfield
Angela Bloomfield is a New Zealand actress known for her role as Rachel McKenna on the soap opera Shortland Street from 1996 to 2014. She was born on December 11, 1972 in New Zealand.
Prior to her acting career, Bloomfield graduated from Massey High School in West Auckland and made her film debut in Bonjour Timothy in 1995. In addition to her TV work, she has also appeared in feature films such as The Frighteners and participated in the New Zealand edition of Dancing With the Stars.
During her time on Shortland Street, Bloomfield pursued training as a director and directed her first short film Linda’s List in 2013.
Bloomfield married Chris Houston in 2002 and has two children with him named Max and Maya.
