About Angela Bailey
Angela Bailey is a Canadian track and field athlete who was born on February 28, 1962 in England. She is best known for her achievement of winning a silver medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics as part of the Canadian women’s 4×100 meter relay team.
Prior to her Olympic success, Bailey had already made a name for herself in athletics. In 1978, she won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games held in Edmonton. Additionally, she achieved notable victories at the 1980 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships where she secured gold medals in both the 100 meter and 200 meter races.
Bailey’s family moved from England to Canada when she was young, setting the stage for her athletic career to take off in her adopted country.
