About Alissa Czisny
Alissa Czisny (born June 25, 1987) is a figure skater from Bowling Green, Ohio. She is a two-time U.S. Figure Skating champion and also won the gold at the 2010-11 Grand Prix Final in Beijing.
Czisny began skating at an early age, following in the footsteps of her sister who also competed nationally and internationally. Encouraged by their mother, both sisters started skating before they were two years old.
In 2013, Czisny suffered a serious fall at a skate invitational event which led to her withdrawal from the upcoming U.S. championships.
