Alison Teal, born on May 8, 1986 in Colorado, is an adventure and outdoors film producer known for her nickname “Female Indiana Jones” given by Time Magazine. Some of her notable films include House Made of Straw, Volcano Surf, and Paddling Through Los Angeles Plastic Waste. She has directed several documentaries.
Prior to her filmmaking career, Alison was homeschooled and traveled extensively with her parents who were extreme expeditionists. She has also spoken at TEDTalk events and aims to educate children through entertainment. Additionally, in 2007 she wrote and directed a short film titled Rita.
Alison comes from a family with a strong passion for exploration as her father is a renowned National Geographic photographer.
