Andreea Raducan, born on September 30, 1983 in Barlad, Romania, is a former Romanian gymnast. She achieved glory at the 2000 Summer Olympics by securing a gold and a silver medal for the team and vault events. Prior to her Olympic success, Raducan won her first gold medal at the 1999 World Championships in Tianjin, China.
Raducan’s career faced controversy when she tested positive for pseudoephedrine after the 2000 Olympics. However, following significant discussion and scrutiny, she was able to retain her gold medal.
