About Anca Pop
Anca Pop (October 22, 1984 – December, 2018) was a Romanian pop singer known for hits like “Loco Poco”, “Super Cool” and “Ederlezi”. Her debut single, “Free Love”, was released in 2015, and in 2017 she dropped her first album, “Anca Pop”.
Before gaining fame as a singer, Anca’s family fled Romania when she was three years old to escape the communist party. They immigrated to Ontario, Canada where Anca began to practice mandolin and singing at the age of seven.
Tragically, Anca died in December 2018 after her car drove into a river. She left behind a sister named Tina Pop. Additionally, her song “Free Love” was voted the best July song of 2018 by a poll conducted by OurStage.
