About Amy Nixon
Amy Nixon is a Canadian curler born on September 29, 1977, in Saskatoon, Canada. She is known for her success as third and/or vice-skip, having won a bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics and the 2005 and 2009 Canada Cups.
Her curling career began with a major win at the Saskatchewan Winter Games in 1994 as a skip. Nixon later pursued higher education at the University of Calgary, where she studied kinesiology, women’s studies, and law. She passed the Alberta bar exam in 2006 and subsequently worked at Mount Royal University.
Notably, her father Daryl coached the 2006 Olympic women’s curling team.
