Amy Hoggart, born on April 14, 1986, in Washington, DC, United States is a comedian and actress. She is best known for her role as Poppy Carlton in the BBC America comedy series Almost Royal, which she also co-wrote. Additionally, she appeared as Sally in the film Headlock Security.
Prior to her screen acting career, Hoggart found success as a stand-up comedienne. She created the comedic character Pattie Brewster and published a humor book from the character’s point of view titled “Pattie Brewster’s Guide to Life/Pattie.”
Hoggart’s father was Simon Hoggart – a radio host; political journalist for The Guardian; and wine critic for The Spectator who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2014. She has a brother named Richard and her mother Alyson is a psychologist.
