Amanda Louise Staveley (born April 11, 1973) is an English entrepreneur known for her involvement with Middle Eastern investors. She is the owner of PCP Capital Partners, which has represented members of the Abu Dhabi royal family in various investment deals, including Sheikh Mansour Bin-zayed Al-nahyan’s acquisition of Manchester City F.C. in September 2008 and the takeover of Newcastle United FC for Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth and Public Investment Fund.
Staveley briefly attended St. Catharine’s College in Cambridge before dropping out due to stress following her grandfather’s death. She began her entrepreneurial career with the purchase of Bottisham restaurant Stocks in 1996, where she formed connections within the high-tech business sector and esteemed thoroughbred racing community.
After closing Stocks in 2000, she opened Q.ton, a conference center and facility valued at over 10 million pounds; rumors suggested that one of her investors was King Abdullah II of Jordan.
She is the daughter of Lynne and Robert Staveley; Amanda married Mehrdad Ghodoussi in Buckinghamshire, England during October 2011.
