About Amanda Perkins
Amanda Perkins is an English artist and author known for her work in crocheting. She was born on January 1, 1111, in Devon, England. Perkins has published five books on the art of crocheting and previously operated her own independent natural hand dyeing company called The Natural Dye Studio from 2000 to 2015.
Before gaining recognition for her crochet designs, she studied general art and design at an art college after leaving school in 1981. In addition to her success as a crochet designer, she also ventured into art and drawing during the COVID-19 pandemic by initiating a project to draw every building in her hometown of North Devon, England.
Perkins retired from crochet designing in 2021 but continues to focus on her passion for artistic expression. She also enjoys family life with three children and one grandson.
