About Alyssa Valdez
Alyssa Valdez is a Filipina volleyball player born on June 29, 1993, in San Juan, Philippines. She gained recognition as one of the world’s top collegiate players and was honored with titles such as Miss Volleyball and Female Athlete of the Year in 2014. Valdez achieved success with the Ateneo Lady Eagles by winning four UAAP season titles.
Prior to her college career, she played in the Southern Tagalog Calabarzon Athletic Association before being recruited by the UST Tigress Cubs for their high school team. Notably, she holds a UAAP Women’s Volleyball record for scoring 35 points in a single game.
Valdez has two older brothers and one younger brother. In 2016, she began dating basketball player Kiefer Ravena; however, they ended their relationship in May 2022.
