About Allison Closner
Allison Closner is a folk singer born on July 24, 1991, in Portland, Oregon. She is best known as one-third of the indie folk band Joseph, which she formed with her sisters Meegan and Natalie. The group’s second album I’m Alone, No You’re Not was released in August 2016 and reached #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart.
Prior to her music career, Allison was recruited by her older sister Natalie to join a new project which eventually led to the formation of Joseph. Their debut album was released in 2014.
Notably, the first single “White Flag” from their sophomore album gained attention and peaked at #1 on the adult alternative songs chart in October 2016 after being featured in NPR’s Songs We Love.
Allison is a twin with her sister Meegan.
