Aliki Vougiouklaki was a beloved Greek actress, born on July 20, 1933 in Marousi, Greece. She is best known for her performances in musical films, having appeared in a total of 42 movies throughout her career.
Vougiouklaki began her acting career after studying at the National Theatre of Greece. Her first major role came in 1953 when she secured the lead role in the production of The Little Mouse.
In an attempt to expand her career internationally, Vougiouklaki wrote and starred in Aliki My Love in 1962. Unfortunately, the film did not achieve success.
She came from a family with creative talents as well; her brother Takis became a film director and Antonis an architect.
