Alice Palmer (born June 20, 1939) is an American politician from Indiana. She served as a Member of the Illinois Senate from the 13th district from 1991 to 1997. In 1995, she ran for a seat in the House of Representatives but was unsuccessful.
Palmer graduated from high school at the age of sixteen and later married Edward Palmer, with whom she has two children.
In a notable turn of events, she promised Barack Obama that she wouldn’t run for re-election for the Illinois State Senate race in 1996 but ultimately filed a petition which was found invalid.
