About Alexandra Tydings
Alexandra Tydings, born on December 15, 1972 in Washington, DC, United States, is a TV actress best known for her role as Aphrodite on the television shows Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess. She has also made guest appearances in episodes of Sheena, The Wire, and Party of Five.
Before pursuing an acting career, she attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She later moved to Los Angeles where she appeared in independent films such as Angst and Alice (both released in 1993).
Outside of acting, Tydings taught a unique yoga class set to a soundtrack of rock music while living in Washington D.C. during the early 2000s.
Born into a family with political and entertainment ties – the grandchildren of former Democratic U.S. Senator Millard Tydings and children of former Miss U.S.A. Terry Huntingdon – Tydings grew up alongside her five siblings in Washington D.C. She is married to Ben Luzzatto and together they have daughters named Ruby and Emerson.
