About Alex Lahey
Alex Lahey, born on July 30, 1992 in Melbourne, is an Australian rock singer and songwriter. She gained attention for her indie rock music when her single “You Don’t Think You Like People Like Me” received Pitchfork’s Best New Track Award. In 2017, she released her debut studio album I Love You Like a Brother.
Prior to gaining recognition for her music, Lahey sold her 1999 Toyota Corolla to fund the production of her 2016 EP B-Grade University. In early 2017, she signed a recording contract with Dead Oceans label. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia Alex Lahey continues to make waves in the indie rock scene.
