She is best known for her hit song “Stand by Your Man” and has collaborated with other popular artists such as Loretta Lynn. Before her rise to fame, she grew up on a farm owned by her grandparents where she picked cotton as a child alongside the hired fieldhands.

Wynette is associated with Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton as pioneering women of country music. She had a colorful family life with five marriages and four children: Georgette, Jackie, Gwendolyn, and Tina.
