About Alenka Godec
Alenka Godec is a Slovenian jazz and folk singer born on November 5, 1964, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She first gained recognition in 1992 with the release of her debut album Tvoja and has since produced nearly a dozen successful records including So najlepse pesmi ze napisane.
Prior to her solo career, she was a member of the group Cafe before branching out on her own in 1988.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Godec competed to become Slovenia’s representative in the Eurovision song contest in 1992. She is also known for her personal life as a mother to a son named Luka.
