About Alela Diane
Alela Diane is a California folk singer born on April 20, 1983. She gained popularity through her albums such as “To Be Still” released in 2009 and her participation as a member of Headless Heroes. Known for supporting big-name acts like The Decemberists and Fleet Foxes on tour, Alela is a self-taught guitarist who released her first album, “Forest Parade”, independently in 2003.
Her song “Take Us Back” features in the end credits of the video game “The Walking Dead (Episode 5: No Time Left)”. In November 2013, she welcomed her daughter Vera Marie. Alela’s ex-husband, Tom Bevitori, was also a part of her backing band known as Wild Divine.
