Suzanne Vega, born on July 11, 1959 in Santa Monica, California, is an award-winning folk singer-songwriter known for her international hits “Luka” and “Tom’s Diner.” With 9 full-length albums to her name and over 20 music award nominations, Vega has had a successful career in the music industry.

Before finding fame as a musician, she studied modern dance at New York’s High School of Performing Arts and began performing in Greenwich Village while attending Barnard College. Notably, she was referenced in the film Pulp Fiction and won the Best Pop/Rock Compilation at the New York Music Awards in 2010.

In terms of personal life, she married Mitchell Froom in 1995 before divorcing in 1998. She later remarried Paul Mills in 2006.
