Songul Karli, born on September 15, 1973 in Istanbul, Turkey is a television presenter and folk music artist with an extensive discography. Throughout her career from 1991 to 2004, she has released 10 albums. Notably, she received consecutive Kral TV Video Music Awards for Turkish Folk Music Best Female Artist in both 1997 and 1998.

Her debut album titled Derman Sendedir was released in 1991 which marked the beginning of her successful music career. Karli has also been recognized with awards such as the Alt Butterfly Awards and Spy Magazine Awards for her contributions as a recording artist.

She hosted her own show called Songul Karlı Ile Cumartesi on Channel 7. In terms of family life, she divorced from her husband in 2008.
