Simone Mariposa, born on February 26, 1993, is a plus-size model and blogger from Los Angeles, California. She gained recognition for her role in promoting body positivity through the popular #WeWearWhatWeWant hashtag. In addition to her work as an Instagram star, Mariposa co-hosted the radio show A Fat Girl’s World alongside Tejera Magee. Before gaining fame, she grew up in South Los Angeles and pursued studies in sociology and vocal music during her college years. An only child, Simone Mariposa starred in a campaign for the clothing brand Torrid titled In My Jeans.
