Shannon Tweed is a Canadian actress born on March 10, 1957. She began her career as a Playboy model and gained recognition for her role in the film Hot Dog…The Movie in 1984. She later starred in Electra in 1996 and appeared in Dead Sexy in 2001.

Prior to her acting career, Tweed competed in beauty pageants and came fourth place in the 1978 Miss Canada Pageant. She was named Playmate of the Year in 1982, which propelled her into acting.

In addition to her professional success, Tweed had a significant personal life. In the 1980s she began dating KISS frontman Gene Simmons, with whom she eventually married in 2011. Together they have two children: Nicholas and Sophie.
