Sandra Gal is a German professional golfer born on May 9, 1985, in Germany. She gained recognition in the golfing world after securing her first LPGA Tour victory at the 2011 Kia Classic by edging out South Korea’s Jiyai Shin with a single stroke. Additionally, she achieved third place at the 2012 U.S Open and emerged victorious at the 2011 Solheim Cup as part of Team Europe.

Prior to her fame, Gal joined the German national team at age 17 and clinched victory at the German National Girls Championship a year later. Further nurturing her talent, she attended the University of Florida where she played golf for three years.Gal has also earned academic honors throughout her college career, being recognized as an NGCA Academic All-American from 2005 to 2008. Her parents are Jan and Alexandra Gal.
