Ruchee Gurung, born on November 11, 1111, in Hong Kong, China, is a reality star known for being the first contestant announced for the summer edition of Love Island Series 10. She initially paired with Mehdi Edno before switching to Andre Furtado during a Girls’ Choice recoupling ceremony in Episode 5.

Prior to her appearance on the show, she attended an American school in Nepal and later moved with her family to London. Before joining Love Island at the age of 24, she worked as a beautician and nail artist. Surprisingly, Ruchee was scouted by producers twice before accepting the opportunity to join the cast; she turned down their initial offer due to being in a relationship at that time.

Born in Hong Kong and raised primarily by one of her aunts due to both parents working full-time, Ruchee’s journey from Nepal to London before finding fame on Love Island has endeared her to audiences worldwide.
