Noomi Rapace, born on December 28, 1979 in Hudiksvall, Sweden, is a prominent Swedish movie actress. She became widely recognized for her portrayal of Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish film adaptations of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. Rapace’s career began at a young age when she made her film debut at seven years old after relocating to Iceland. Later on, she starred as scientist Elizabeth Shaw in Prometheus and appeared in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

Having been raised by a mother who was also an actress and a father who was a Spanish Flamenco singer named Rogelio Duran, acting seemed to be destiny for Noomi.She was previously married to Swedish actor Ola Rapace and together they had a son named Lev before their marriage ended in 2011.
