Natalie Coughlin is an American swimmer born on August 23, 1982, in Vallejo, California. She has achieved great success as a competitive swimmer, winning a total of 22 gold medals from international competitions and accumulating 12 medals from Olympic events. Before rising to international prominence, Coughlin made her mark by breaking the national high school record for the 100-yard backstroke. Additionally, she was named NCAA Swimmer of the Year for three consecutive years during her college career.

In April 2009, Natalie Coughlin married Ethan Hall, who serves as the coach for Crow Canyon Sharks swim team. Together they have a daughter named Zennie.
