About Acelya Akkoyun
Acelya Akkoyun (born December 31, 1972) is a Turkish actress and TV presenter. She is known for hosting the program “Cocuktan Al Haberi” and has appeared in numerous TV series including “Doksanlar,” “Hasret,” “Ask her yasta,” and “Sacsaca basbasa.”
Akkoyun grew up playing volleyball from the age of 7 and later worked at Istanbul City Theater while studying at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
Her first TV appearance was on the series “Mahallenin Muhtarlari” in 1992.
Akkoyun’s parents are Incila Akdeniz and Ejder Akkoyun. She was previously married to actor Civan Canova from 1998 to 2002, and later married Enis Gergel in 2006. The couple welcomed their daughter, Alya, in 2009.
