Maria Rojo, born on August 15, 1943 in Mexico, is a Mexican actress turned politician. She served as a Senator of the Republic in the Mexican Congress and was also a Member of the Chamber of Deputies from 1997 to 2000.

Rojo earned her first film role at the age of thirteen and has since appeared in over sixty films and over twenty-five telenovelas including “Rojo amanecer,” “El callejon de los milagros,” and “El Infierno.”

Although she has never been married, Maria Rojo made significant contributions both in her acting career and political undertakings.
