Maria Isabel Diaz Lago, born on July 4, 1964, is a Cuban actress known for her work in television series and feature films. She gained recognition for portraying the main protagonist in Continental (2018) and Vis a Vis (2015). Prior to her acting career, she graduated from the Higher Institute of Art and performed in various operas such as Where the Love Grows. In 1996, she relocated to Spain where she began appearing in numerous television programs. Lago’s accolades include winning the Best Actress award for her role in Neuralgia (2013) and the Best Female Lead Award for Vis a Vis at the Waves Awards in 2015.

Although born in Havana, Cuba, Lago settled in Spain during 1982.
