Lari Michele White was an American country music singer and actress, born on May 13, 1965, in Florida. She gained recognition after winning the talent television competition “You Can Be A Star” in 1992 and went on to chart hits such as “Now I Know.” Prior to her rise to fame, White started singing in her family’s gospel music group before performing at talent contests with a group called White Sound. She further honed her skills by studying music engineering and vocals at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. Aside from her musical talents, she also ventured into acting and became part of the original cast of the Broadway musical Ring of Fire in 2006. White was married to songwriter Chuck Cannon and they had two daughters named M’Kenzy and Kyra Ciel, as well as a son named Jaxon.
