Katherine Neville is an American adventure novelist, born on April 4, 1945, in Missouri. She is best known for her works such as The Eight, A Calculated Risk, and The Magic Circle. In 2008, she published The Fire, a sequel to The Eight.Before pursuing a career in writing, Neville moved to New York City and worked in the computer industry. Her first novel, The Eight was published in 1988.Aside from her writing career, Katherine Neville was also an executive at Bank of America. She grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and currently resides in Washington D.C with her longtime partner Karl H. Pribram.
