Lucy Texeira, born on September 1, 1989, in Essex, England, is a jazz singer who gained prominence as part of the duo 2 Shoes alongside her best friend Charley Bird. In 2011, they garnered attention by participating in the popular reality competition show The X Factor and subsequently released their debut single “Turn Me On – Turn Me Out” in 2012.

Texeira’s passion for singing developed at the age of ten and she began taking vocal lessons and joining local singing groups at fourteen. Prior to her X Factor stint, she was part of another musical duo called Divalicious and toured with them for over six months in Ibiza, Spain.

Influenced by her mother’s appreciation for swing artists like Frank Sinatra, Texeira’s musical journey has been shaped by a deep connection to jazz music.
