Karine Jean-Pierre Feet
Karine Jean-Pierre, born on March 17, 1977 in the United States, is a Haitian-American journalist and political commentator.
She is best known for her role as the national spokesperson for MoveOn.org and her work as an analyst and commentator for NBC News and MSNBC.
Prior to gaining recognition in the media industry, Jean-Pierre earned her MPA from Columbia University in 2003. She went on to work with the John Edwards presidential campaign in 2004.
Her career further flourished when she served as the Political Director for the White House Office of Political Affairs during 2008.
Jean-Pierre’s accomplishments have not gone unnoticed, earning her a place among Six Haitian Newsmakers of the Year by The Haitian Times in December of 2018. Karine Jean-Pierre was raised in New York by parents who immigrated from Haiti – her father worked as a cab driver while her mother pursued a career in healthcare.
