Joy Smith Feet

Joy Smith (born February 20, 1947) is a Canadian politician who served in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1999 to 2003 before being elected to the Canadian House of Commons in 2004. She is a member of the Conservative Party.

Prior to her political career, Smith pursued higher education at the University of Manitoba where she majored in Science and Math. Additionally, she earned a music diploma from Toronto’s Royal Conservatory of Music.

Aside from her political endeavors, Joy Smith is also an author, having written books such as “Lies My Kid’s Teacher Told Me” and “Tools of the Trade.”

In recognition for her work as a teacher, Smith received the Hedley Award for Excellence in Research in 1986. She is married to Bart Smith.
