Jennifer Weist was born on December 3, 1986, in Germany. She is best known as the lead singer of the German rock band Jennifer Rostock. The band gained recognition after being signed by Warner Music in 2007 and later competed on Bundevision Song Contest with their single “Kopf oder Zahl.” Prior to her music career, Weist met her future bandmate Joe Walter-Muller during their early teens while performing at a karaoke show. He invited her to join his band at that time.

Interestingly, the name of her band, Jennifer Rostock, came from a misunderstanding between Weist and a record label. They sent all correspondence to this name because it’s a combination of her first name and a town near where she comes from.
