Nhooph Al-Areebi, born on November 23, 1994 in Toronto, Canada, is a professional wrestler known for her work in WWE’s NXT promotion under the ring name Aliyah. She made her television debut on January 13, 2016 during an episode of WWE’s NXT. Prior to her wrestling career, she studied nursing at George Brown College and also underwent training at a circus school. Between 2013 and 2015, she competed on the independent circuit, including for New England Championship Wrestling (NECW). Al-Areebi grew up with conservative parents and has Syrian and Iraqi heritage.
