Gina Lopez Feet

Gina Lopez, born on December 27, 1953 in Quezon City, Philippines, is an environmentalist and philanthropist. She is best known for her role as the chairperson of the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission and as the secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in the Philippines.

Prior to her environmental work, Lopez spent 20 years as a yoga missionary, traveling extensively around the world. In recognition of her efforts, she was awarded with the UNESCO Kalinga Award for her educational program Sineskwela.

Coming from a prominent family in the Philippines – daughter of Eugenio Lopez Jr. and Chita Lopez – Gina has made significant contributions to environmental conservation and education throughout her career.
