Mirka Federer, born on April 1, 1978, in Bojnice, Slovakia, is a former professional tennis player from Switzerland. She represented her country at the 2000 Olympics and achieved a singles world ranking of no. 76 in September 2001. Her doubles ranking peaked at World no. 215 in August 1998.
Federer’s interest in tennis began during her childhood when she accompanied her father to a tournament at Filderstadt in Germany. In her career best performance at the Grand Slam level, she reached the third round of the U.S Open in 2001.
