Donna Haraway Feet

Donna Haraway, born on September 6, 1944 in Colorado, is a philosopher and feminist. She is best known for her influential book “A Cyborg Manifesto: Science, Technology, and Socialist-Feminism in the Late Twentieth Century” published in 1985.

Prior to gaining recognition as a feminist scholar, she studied Evolutionary Philosophy at the Fondation Teilhard de Chardin on a Fulbright Scholarship.

Notably, Haraway was awarded the J.D. Bernal Award in 2000 from the Society for Social Studies of Science.

Haraway’s upbringing took place in Denver, Colorado; her father wrote about sports for The Denver Post while her mother passed away when she was just 16 years old.
