Cree Summer, born on July 7, 1969 in Los Angeles, California, is a multi-talented artist known for her work as a pop singer and voice actress. She has lent her voice to iconic characters in popular animated series such as Rugrats All Grown Up, Drawn Together, and Tiny Toon Adventures.

Prior to gaining recognition for her voice acting work, Summer’s career began with her portrayal of Penny in the animated series Inspector Gadget. However, she is best known for playing Freddie Brooks on the NBC sitcom A Different World.

Aside from her successful career in entertainment, Summer comes from a family of actors; her father Don Francks and brother Rainbow Francks both pursued careers in the industry. She married Angelo Pullens and together they have two children.
