Selena Gomez, born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas, is a pop singer and actress who rose to fame for her starring role as Alex Russo on Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place. In 2008, she formed the band Selena Gomez & the Scene and released three hit albums with them before embarking upon her solo career. Her first two solo albums, Stars Dance (2013) and Revival (2015), both reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard chart.
